Jewish Tex-Mex Stew


I always have to qualify recipes that originated from an ethnicity that I’m not, so this is a Jewish Bubbe’s version of something I used to have in El Paso when I was down there with the military.

We are going back down in the deep freeze here in the midwestern U.S. so some spicey stew might be just right. You can very the spicyness by the number of roasted jalapeno peppers you use.

Serve with some toasty warm tortillas, or tortillas and cheese.IMG_1571
