Thermos Chai

Need something nice and hot for a chilly outdoor adventure?

Hot Chocolate is good.

Coffee is better.

Thermos chai with the nice hot tea and the fragrant and delicious blend of spices will carry though any cold fall football afternoon!

All you need is:

A nice tight thermos

Boiling hot water

Ground ginger

Ground cardamom

Anise seed

Measure – 1/2 teaspoon ginger

-1/2 teaspoon cardamom

-1/4 teaspoon anise seed

– 1 shake of pepper

Into the bottom of a thermos.

Add 1 teabag each of your favorite black and green teas

Pour scalding hot water in to thermos and let steep about 10 minutes tightly capped. Remove teabags. The spices will settle to the bottom and stay there unless you shake the thermos. Add a little cream, milk or soymilk.

You’ve got a tasty hot drink to last the whole game.
