Stay Cool With Ginger Ice Tea

Stay Cool With Ginger Ice Tea

Even if you didn’t know about ginger’s awesome anti-inflamatory properties for joint and muscle aches, or about it’s ability to relieve some types of nausea, this spicy, great tasting tea will help cool off your summer.

Ginger Tea

1/4 inch of ginger root thinly sliced (found in most grocery fruit and vegetable sections)

2 cups water

teaspoon suger, splenda, honey (optional)

lemon or lime (optional)

Boil the water. Add the ginger and simmer for 1 minute. Turn off heat and let cool. Add sweetener at this time if you are using one.  Strain out ginger root. Add lemon or lime wedge, ice, and prepare to cool.
