- Take a 2 quart saucepan
- Peel 4 Macintosh apples
- 3 Jonathan
- 3 Paula Red
- 2 Granny Smith
- Quarter and core
- Place in kettle
- Add 1/4 cup of water
- simmer over low heat just until apples have lost their shape, use a cover but place it loosely so that some steam escapes
- Smell the aroma and slowly savor the first few sumptuous bites.
